A late 19th century Dutch style interior scene with young children - the little boy is dressed in his father's dressing gown and pretending to smoke a pipe. There is a signature to the lower right which looks to read "G. L. Barton" or similar but it is indistinct. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouching and over painting. Some minor surface wear to canvas edges and a few tiny spots of wear to the paint surface.
