Artist, designer, teacher and gallery owner, born in London. He studied at Brighton College of Art. Went on to teach at Leek School of Art. England was president of the Society of Staffordshire Artists and a member of the Free Painters and Sculptors. Showed at RI, RBA, widely in the provinces and at Paris Salon, where he won silver and gold medals. Solo shows included Octagon Gallery in Bolton, University of Keele and abroad. Stoke-on-Trent City Museum and Art Gallery holds England’s work. Lived in Leek, Staffordshire, where he ran his own gallery.
