A particularly fine watercolour by the listed British artist Frederick E Valter. The scene depicts a drover on his way to market with four horned cattle. The sky suggests early morning as the hatted figure moves his docile herd through the mist. The watercolour has been signed by the artist to the lower right. Presented in a complimenting slim gilt frame. On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some even discolouration and light foxing to the watercolour. There are a few light marks on the card mount and glazing, as well as minor wear to the gilt wood frame.
