A captivating watercolour painting by British artist Roy Morris (1890-1967). The scene shows a large Thames Barge docked outside Gillingham Mill. The artist has signed and inscribed to the reverse of the painting, and the scene has been well presented in a large gilt-effect frame with a crisp card mount. On watercolour paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The gilt-effect frame and white card mount are in fine condition.

Artist Biography
Painter and etcher of landscapes and building. Roy Morris studied at Chester School of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art and the Central School of Arts & Crafts. From 1920 he taught at Derby School of Art and exhibited at the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, New English Art Club, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Society of British Artists and Walker Art Gallery.
