Eric Vasstrom (1887-1958) - 1947 Watercolour Helsinki in Winter
Description
A stunning mid-century Nordic watercolour by the artist Eric Vasstrom (1887-1958). The effortless nature of Vasstrom's work displays his talented handing of the medium, with washes of colour applied in thin, delicate layers. This creates a hazy, and realistic interpretation of a cold Helsinki day. Well presented in a vintage frame. Signed and dated. Inscribed to the reverse. On watercolour paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. There are some scuffs and marks to the frame.
