Description

An atmospheric Welsh landscape, painted by 19th century artist Richard Bond (1808-1886). The watercolour depicts two mischievous characters swinging from branches and clamping over a wooden stile in the direction of the sea. Set back and shrouded by trees, a woodland cottage sits with a smoking Chimney in the landscape. Signed to the lower left. The watercolour comes well presented in a 20th century gilt frame and crisp white mount. Inscribed verso. On fibrous paper.
