A colour mezzotint signed by listed printmaker Frank Sternberg. Signed in the plate. On wove.


There is mount burn around the edges of the artwork and some discolouration to the page. With light creasing to the page.

Artist Biography

Printmaker born Francis Furnivall Joseph Sternberg in Leeds. He was a student of Herkomer at Bushey Art School and in 1891 was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and a full member the following year. He also showed at the Fine Art Society, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Scottish Academy and Walker Art Gallery. There are mezzotints in the Victoria & Albert Museum by Sternberg.
