This beautiful 19th-century watercolour captures the haunting beauty of abbey ruins. The artist skilfully frames crumbling Gothic arches and ivy-covered walls through a large foreground archway. The watercolour has been well presented in a gilt-effect frame and newly cut mount. Signed with initials in the lower right. On paper.

Minor discolouration to the watercolour. Small chips and losses to the upper right-hand corner of the frame.
