Description

A finely executed genre scene from the 19th century, depicting a small gathering of merry men in a quiet tavern. A single figure has a glass raised in the centre of the scene as the tavern girl presents the table with a hot meal. The artist has paid particular attention to the interior features, right down to wooden boards and tiled floors. Indistinctly signed to the lower left. The painting has been well presented in a slim gilt frame with a new card mount. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. there are several small scratches to the gilt coloured frame and a single mark to the frame's glazed. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
