Follower of Andries Daniels - 17th Century Oil Fruit Garland with Christ

A beautiful example of a 17th-century Flemish School garland painting depicting Joseph, the Virgin Mary and Christ. This particular genre emerged from Antwerp, often as a collaboration between a still-life painter and a figure painter. The fruits frequently carried religious and symbolic meaning, alluding to concepts such as the Passion of Christ, the Eucharist, and the transience of life.
