A particularly fine 19th century oil portrait of a young girl fetching water from a nearby river. Well presented in a gilt frame and slip, under glazing. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The canvas is relined and there is some light abrasion to the edges. Inspection under UV light reveals minor restoration to the surface of the oil. The frame and slip are in fine condition.
