A fine watercolour painting with gouache detail, depicting the British clipper ship 'the Cutty Sark', stationed alongside a pilot boat. The pinnacle of clipper ship design, the Cutty Sark was the fastest of its day, built to service 653 men. The watercolour has been well-presented in an elegant gilt frame with foliate members and a delicate bead and reel inner window. Unsigned. On paper.
