Painter of flower pieces, genre and still lifes born in Bermondsey, London the daughter of a leather tanner. She studied at Goldsmiths' and later at the South Kensington Schools winning medals at the latter. In a busy exhibiting career she showed at the Abbey Gallery, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Baillie Gallery, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, London Salon, Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Society of Women Artists and Walker's Gallery. Towards the end of the first decade of the 20th century, Barrow left London for North Devon where her parents had owned a cottage at Combe Martin. She died in a nursing home in Barnstaple.
