A delightful 18th century watercolour study depicting a Welsh valley landscape with a rushing stream in the foreground and a hidden cottage just visible on the brow of a hill. Presented in an antique maple frame with a label verso noting an inscription on the back of the watercolour attributing the work to Thomas Barker of Bath (1769-1847). On paper.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Minor wear to the left hand edge of the paper. Light scratches to the frame and separation to the upper left mitre. The overall condition of the artwork is good.
