Carl Felkel was born in 1896, in Stockerau (near Vienna), Austria. Carl was a student of Walter Thor in Munich. In 1918, he attended the Vienna Academy of Art, studying under Hans Tichy (1861-1925). Carl was also a master student of Rudolf Bacher (1862-1945), for four years. Various study trips allowed Carl to discover Capri, Southern France, Paris and Sicily. His work includes portraits, still life, landscapes, and views of Venice, Paris and other cities. Carl's paintings are preserved at the Albertina in Vienna. Carl Felkel died in Austria, in 1984.
