A fine late 19th Century oil landscape showing a figure walking through a woodland clearing under a blue sky. The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a fine late 19th Century gilt frame with fluted cove, lamb's tongue strap work and external stick and ribbon molding. There is a label at the reverse that has been partially torn, with the artist's address and information indicating that this painting was exhibited in the Spring exhibition at the Southport Gallery in 1882. Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some craquelure to the surface. The frame has some tarnishing, surface scuffing and general aging with small losses.
