Description
Rendered with impressionistic brushwork and a vibrant colour palette, Gaudin depicts a couple overlooking a regatta, the white sails of the boats billowing in the wind. An inscription on the reverse of the board identifies the location as Sainte-Adresse on the North coast of France. The regatta at Sainte-Adresse was also the subject of a 1867 painting by Claude Monet. Signed and dated to the lower right. On board.Condition
Overall the condition is good, with only some light wear around the edges of the board.
