A idyllic river scene in oil showing a river running through the foothills of an impressive mountain range. The artist has signed "Bird" faintly to the lower right corner. The painting has been presented in a handsome gilt frame with lozenge molding and gilt slip.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some foxing across the surface. The frame has foxing and tarnishing to the surface and small losses at all four corners. There is some slight splitting at the internal corners.
