A dynamic landscape painting by Paul Kapell (1876-1946), depicting a muddy farm track stretching into the distance, flanked by verdant trees, hedgerows and fences, with rural outbuildings visible on the horizon. Kapell employs vigorous, impasto brushwork and rich earth tones to capture the textured surface of the rutted track, creating a sense of perspective that draws the viewer's eye into the composition. Condition
A light, even patina of age is present across the surface of the artwork. Minor craquelure and abrasion are present. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. The frame has minor surface wear. Overall, the artwork presents in good condition for its age.
