Description
A beautifully painted river landscape with fishermen on the bank. Signed to the lower right, well presented in a decorative swept gilt frame. There is an old label from the Boydell Galleries, North John Street, Liverpool on the reverse. Signed. On board.Condition
The appearance is good. There is some discolouration in some areas of the varnish, typical of a painting this age, There is some craquelure in the sky, but paint layer is stable. Inspection under UV light shows some scattered restoration and retouchings. Frame is in good condition.
