A striking and unusual surrealist landscape by the British artist Barbara P. Morgan, entitled 'Water Level'. The artist has depicting a large tap, dripping into an expanse of ocean. A tiny cottage is shown at the shore, adding contrast and scale to the work. Well-presented in a wooden frame with gilt beading, as shown. With artist's label to the reverse. Signed with monogram. On canvas board.

Condition

In good condition overall. Some minor surface marks to the upper area of the work. Some scuffing to the frame.

Artist Biography

Barbara P. Morgan was a contemporary British artist, who primarily worked in pastel and watercolour. Barbara instils a sense of vibrancy and dynamism within her compositions, well suited to her chosen medium. Her work has been exhibited at The Mall Galleries, London, and the Laing Art Gallery. Her husband Edward was also an artist, and both of their collections have been acquired by Sulis Fine Art.
