Austin Garland (1887-1966) was a painter of landscapes, figures, and portraits who studied at Liverpool School of Art. He taught at his alma mater and at Dudley School of Art and Lincoln School of Art where he acted as Principal, 1920-47. He lived in Dudley, exhibiting his work at the Nottingham Society of Artists, Lincolnshire Artists' Society and at MAFA. A portrait by Garland is in the collection of the Usher Gallery.
