Artist Biography

William Collins RA was an English genre and landscape painter who was born in London. He started study at the Royal Academy school at the age of 19 in 1807 and exhibited with them annually from 1807 to 1846.

In 1814 he was elected an Associate of the Royal Academy and a Royal Academician in 1820. He served as the Academy’s librarian between 1840-1842.
