Anton Denzel (1888-1962) was a German artist who received his education at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Stuttgart and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1910, he returned to Stuttgart, where he successfully passed the drawing teacher examination. From 1916 to 1918, during World War I, he served as a war painter on the Western Front. Denzel later became the head of a trade school, while consistently pursuing his passion for painting. His landscape works were notably influenced by the artist Christian Landenberger.
