Artist Biography
Alison Margaret Dickens was born in 1917. She excelled at art at Haberdasher Aske's School and went on to study art formally Ealing Art School under Kenneth Procter. Her work has been exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy, the Society of Women Artists, of which she was a member, and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She also mounted numerous one woman shows at her own studio at East Horsley and at the nearby Thorndike Theatre in Leatherhead.
