A very fine landscape by the British artist Alison M. Dickens. Here she has captured the edge of woodland on a frosty morning as the sun rises in the distance. Well presented in a gilt effect frame. Signed and dated. On board.Condition
Overall the condition is very good. There are some minor scuffs to the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Artist Biography
Alison Margaret Dickens was born in 1917. She excelled at art at Haberdasher Aske’s School and went on to study art formally Ealing Art School under Kenneth Procter. Her work has been exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy, the Society of Women Artists, of which she was a member, and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She also mounted numerous one woman shows at her own studio at East Horsley and at the nearby Thorndike Theatre in Leatherhead.
