A gestural mid Century landscape showing a stretch of the Nile running through an Egyptian palm grove, visible on the distant bank. The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a brushed silver frame with layered card mount. There is a gallery label at the reverse from Bankside gallery, London, with details about the artist and painting. On wove .Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.

Artist Biography
Painter who was born in Carshalton Beeches, Surrey. He studied at Wimbledon School of Art and Royal College of Art. In 1982 he was elected NEAC, also showing at RA, RP and elsewhere. He had solo shows at Trafford Gallery in the early 1960s, later exhibitions taking place with Halifax House in Oxford and John Noott Twentieth Century, in Broadway. Winsor & Newton Ltd and Spink & Son Ltd were among the commissioners of his work. Lived in Wells, Somerset.
