Description

A beautiful early 20th Century view of picturesque highlands, covered in soft heather. A stream runs its rocky course down the slopes to the right and golden sunlight illuminates the grassy hillside in the middle ground, adding warm gold tones to the otherwise cool landscape. The artist has signed to the lower right corner and the painting has been handsomely presented in a fine example of a late 19th Century gilt frame with scrolling acanthus leaf molding on a rippled ground. On canvas.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Some debris trapped behind the glazing. The frame has some tarnishing and minor losses to the corners.

36.5 x 49.5cm (14.4" x 19.5")
