A finely detailed early twentieth-century etching by the artist Alfred Blundell depicting a small waterfall with mountain peaks beyond. Signed below the plate line to the right. Blind publisher's stamp below the plate line to the left. On laid.

Overall in good condition. Very light foxing. Light ingrained dirt to the perimeter.

Artist Biography

Alfred Richard Blundell was a painter, printmaker and glass engraver, born in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. He studied at the Slade School of Art in 1913, and later showed at the Royal Academy, New English Art Club and the Alpine Club Gallery. The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, holds examples of his work. Blundell lived at Cavenham Mill, near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
