A solitary figure rests on a bank beside a road in this charming miniature etching by English mapmaker, painter and printmaker Paul Sandby (1731–1809). Inscribed within the plate to the lower left. Well presented in a gilt frame with a grey mount. On paper.

Signs of wear consistent with age, including some slight discolouration to the paper. Light scuffs to the frame. The artwork is in very good condition for its age.
