Description

A fine copy of 'The Pastoral Concert', an early sixteenth century painting attributed to the Italian Renaissance master Titian (1485-1576). It was previously attributed to his fellow Venetian and contemporary Georgione (1477-1510). The original is held by the Musée du Louvre in Paris. Monogrammed 'I.H.' and dated to the lower left. Inscribed 'Georgione' to the lower right. Well presented in a rustic frame. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and areas of craquelure. The frame has a deliberately distressed finish.
