A decorous mezzotint portrait depicting Mrs Hardinge, by the engraver Thomas Watson after an original painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Inscribed to the lower edge 'London: Published Feb 10th 1780 for Watson & Dickinson, No. 158 New Bond Street'. On wove laid to thicker wove. Inscribed and dated.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and surface marks. There are also some small abrasions and areas of paint on the surface, mainly to the upper right.
