Description

After George Walker - Original 19th Century Engraving. A later coloured stipple engraving, originally engraved by R & D Havell after George Walker and published by Robinson & Son, Leeds, 1814. Plate 27 from a series of 40 engravings by Walker depicting scenes of Yorkshire life, first published as "The Costume of Yorkshire" in 1814. Unsigned. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Foxing present, mostly visible to the margins. Some edges have been trimmed unevenly.
