Description
A thoroughly charming and humorous 19th Century scene, showing a smartly dressed gentleman on the bank of a stream with his fishing rod, being rudely interrupted by a mischievous donkey, biting his jacket over a fence. A red faced young boy watches on in laughter. The scene is beautifully painted with much character and attention to detail. The artist has inscribed the title to the lower left corner and the painting has been presented in a reeded wood effect frame. Unsigned. On board.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
