In the background, the artist captures a goat nibbling away on the surrounding vegetation. The painting has been well presented in a gilt-effect frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age. There is some craquelure to the surface of the painting. Inspection under UV light reveals minor overpainting to the canvas. There is a small tear to the left-hand edge (near centre) and light abrasion to the lower edge of the canvas. The gilt effect frame is in good condition.
