18th Century Engraving - The White House at Kew
Description
This delightful engraving depicts the now demolished White House in the Royal Gardens at Kew. The building once sat directly opposite Kew Palace, however the demolition of the building began in 1802.
The only evidence of the house is the sundial that marks where the property sat. Titled to the lower border. Presented in a glazed oak frame with a white card mount.
On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Two significant creases to the centre of the print.
