An aquatint with hand colouring depicting the Chateau d'Hougoumont, a large farmhouse left partly in ruins by the battle of Waterloo in 1815. Published by Robert Bower in 1816. There is an identical impression in the collection of the British Museum. On wove.

Condition

Cropped within the plate lines. There is some light foxing, minor marks to the surface, and a surface abrasion at the lower-right edge.
