Three fishing boats lie at anchor in a sheltered harbour, their red, white and blue hulls picked out against the quay and the low green headland beyond. The water is built from short, broken strokes of turquoise, green and cream, while the sky is worked thickly in pale blue and apricot, giving the whole scene a bright, breezy feel. Signed to the lower right. The painting is well presented in a distressed frame with a studio label on the reverse with artist details. On board.
Condition
The frame has minor surface wear and scuffs, in keeping with its overall distressed finish. The artwork is in very good condition for its age.
