A charming French harbour scene in gouache showing fisherman, waiting in groups on the stone harbour, for the boats to come in. Their nets can be seen drying over the railings and on the corrugated roofs of fishing huts. This piece is a fine example of the fun and simplicity of Mid Century painting. The artist has signed to the lower right and dated and inscribed the location to the lower left. The painting has been presented in a simple oak frame with card mount. On watercolour paper.
