William Page was a landscape painter. After attending RA schools in 1812-13, he exhibited in 1816 views of North Wales. From then on he spent a large amount of his time travelling abroad. He travelled in Greece and Turkey during 1816-24 and is recorded in Athens in 1818. Based on his painting subjects he may also have travelled in Europe and/or Near East 1826-31 and 1835-8.
Page specialized in architectural drawings, landscapes and figure subjects and was successful drawing master. Examples of his work in the British Museum, Coventry Art Gallery and the Searight collection at the V&A.
