Unsigned. Large loss to upper right corner and surrounding water damage as pictured. Various tears to edges of page, mostly to upper. Otherwise image itself is in good condition.

William Henry Simmons (1811-1882). Notable line, mezzotint and mixed-method engraver of historical, biblical, sentimental and sporting subjects and portraits after his contemporaries. Born in London he was a pupil of W. Fiden who taught him line engraving; he later gave up line for mezzotint.
