Artist Biography
William Harold Stephen Bunce was a painter and teacher, who gained art and teaching diplomas at Manchester School of Art, before becoming an art master at a local grammar school. His favoured subjects were landscapes particularly of the Derbyshire Peak District. He showed with Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and is represented in the collections of Atkinson Art Gallery, Bury Art Gallery, Manchester City Art Gallery and Salford Museum and Art Gallery.
