Our Shipping Process
Every artwork is hand packed by our despatch team on the day of shipping. Individual attention is given to each piece and materials are matched to its specific needs. Nothing sits wrapped in storage.
Materials We Use
For framed artworks, we build heavy duty telescopic boxes custom sized to each piece. The frame is wrapped in acid free tissue, then bubble wrap, with inflatable corner guards protecting the most vulnerable points. Rigid cardboard is sandwiched front and back to prevent flex, and the whole package is cushioned on all sides before the box is sealed.
Works on paper are placed in acid free protective sleeves, then sandwiched between rigid cardboard sheets and posted in protective envelopes or boxes sized to prevent any bending in transit. Every package is clearly marked “Do Not Bend” so handlers know what they’re carrying.
The Packing Steps

Our team examines the piece, determines protection needed, and assembles a correctly sized box.
Secure Wrapping
The artwork is wrapped with acid free tissue, then bubble wrap, with corner protection added for framed works.
Sandwiching & Placement
Cardboard reinforcement added front and back, then positioned in the box with cushioning on all sides.

Why We Pack This Way
Vintage, original art is irreplaceable and can’t simply be reordered if damaged. That’s why we use premium materials, custom sizing (nothing rattles around), and hand packing for every single piece.
Our despatch team has packed tens of thousands of artworks. They know how to protect gilded frames, how to cushion delicate glass and how to reinforce large canvases. Our expertise, combined with quality materials, is why 100,000+ artworks have arrived safely.
From Warehouse to Wall
Our team works Monday to Friday. Orders placed over the weekend are despatched the following Monday. We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days. During busy periods this may vary. Larger orders may take longer to process and can add approx 2–5 working days on delivery time.
