A fine watercolour painting with touches of body colour, painted by 19th century artist William H. Wallis. The scene depicts the soaring twin spires of Quimper Cathedral with figures running errand between the city's half timber houses. The painting has been signed and inscribed by the artist to the lower edge. Well presented in a wash-line mount and gilt-effect frame. Fixed to the reverse of the frame are two Richard Martin Gallery labels, inscribed. On laid.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a black mark to the frame's glazing along the top edge.
