A striking portrait of a gentleman by American artist William Fisher (1891–1985), executed with broad, Impressionistic brushstrokes. Smartly attired in a navy suit and striped tie, an inscription to the reverse identifies the sitter as a Mr Fred Chitty. The work is signed to the upper right, and is well presented in a rustic frame.
Condition
The artwork is in fine condition. The frame has a deliberately distressed finish.
