A charming watercolour study by well listed British artist William Eyre Walker, depicting a river at sunset. Walker has beautifully captured the tranquil atmosphere of the Pembrokeshire coast. Well presented in a double washline mount and an ornate gilt frame with beaded detail. Titled and inscribed within the mount, as shown. Signed with monogram. On washi.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. With foxing spots visible across the artwork, some of which have been covered with white pencil. There are some light surface scratches to the upper edge of the frame.

Artist Biography
Painter and illustrator, born in Manchester the father of Bernard Eyre Walker. He was an early exhibitor with the Lake Artists Society and also showed at the FAS, MAFA, RI, RSW, RA, RWS, RCamA, GI, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, RSW and the Walker's Gallery, London. He was an elected a member of the RWS in 1896 and his work is in the collection of Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne and Stafford Art Gallery. His name is often incorrectly listed, like that of his son, as Eyre-Walker.
