A fisherman dips his oars into the placid waters of an expansive lake as he admires the golden light of the sunset as it reflects off the surface. In a manner reminiscent of Renoir, the artist renders the shimmering light on the water through layers of short brushstrokes. Signed to the lower right. Well presented in a silver gilt frame. Condition
Minor discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. The frame has minor surface wear and scuffs. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
