Artist Biography
Walter Stuart Lloyd (1845-1959) was born in Clapton, Middlesex (now London). He was a prolific exhibitor of marine and landscapes, including at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and Royal Scottish Academy. Lloyd was also a founding member of the Birmingham Art Circle.
