Description
The Royal Suspension Chain Pier was the first major pier built in Brighton, England. Built in 1823, it was destroyed during a storm in 1896. A similar study of the old pier from William Henry Earp (b.1833) could possibly be the inspiration for this delightful study. Painted on wove laid to backing card and inscribed with the location. Signed.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing to the backing board which does not affect the painting.
