The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some foxing and discolouration. There are some scuffs, losses, and areas of restoration to the frame and some marks to the mount.

Artist Biography
Virgilio Colombo was an Italian painter of genre scenes, active in Milan in the 19th century. He participated in the Mostra Nazionale in Milan in 1886 with 'Merchant's Square'. He was also an art critic.
